M&R I-dot printer is Horrible! Idot Garment printer mrprint.com. This is a completely different subject. But.. Buyer Beware!!!! No Epson printer is made to use or can take long term use of Latex inks. The IDG was based on a smaller epson model and was much easer to maintain. Not so with the I-Dot and any larger epson printer. I have spent over 1 and 1/2 years with My I-dot. I have also repaired 1 other regularly. And still another 1 that I was paid very well to come and fix.
Bottom Line: Fix, Fix again, More Waste INK, Fix again, More parts, Buy more ink to waste. Fix again. This I-dot is a absolute Night mare to maintain. A Horrible excuse for a Garment printer.
If I charged My company My time at Just Half of what a service tech charged. I would be Bankrupt. I have been working on digital printers for over 35 years. The Problem is LATEX INK! period! per year of ownership be pre paired to Replace at least: 3 print-heads. 2 set of Dampers. Complete Cap station assambly. Cables. Plus all the Head scratching. Things that cause you to have to run a power cleaning Wasting more ink. To get it to print right. None of this stuff goes out on a Epson regular printer in 2 years average.
